Designer Anh Thu, renowned for her song "Thien Dang", celebrated her wedding to Chinese businessman Hoa Ngoc Phong in late September. Her wedding attire, a highlight of the ceremonies in Ho Chi Minh City, featured gowns meticulously adorned with thousands of hand-embellished crystals and beads, reflecting her signature design aesthetic.
For the bridal procession, Anh Thu and her husband chose modernized traditional wedding garments. The bride wore a form-fitting mermaid gown that accentuated her figure, shimmering with iridescent stones and sequins against a metallic fabric. A distinctive feature was the large, pleated puff sleeves made from glossy taffeta, complemented by a phoenix hair ornament. Her husband donned a traditional Chinese ensemble, a combination of a changpao and magua, exquisitely embroidered with coiling dragons and wave patterns.
