32 people suffer vomiting after eating suspected contaminated banh mi

32 residents in Ea H'leo commune experienced abdominal pain and vomiting after consuming banh mi purchased from a local store, with suspected food poisoning.

The incident involved 32 people in Ea H'leo commune falling ill with symptoms including abdominal pain, diarrhea, and vomiting after eating banh mi. The suspected source is a store in Ea Drang commune. According to a report from the Ea H'leo Medical Center, the first patient reported symptoms on 28/3, followed by dozens more within hours.

Currently, all affected individuals are in stable condition and remain under medical observation; none have been discharged. Authorities have initiated an investigation, collecting patient samples and food items from the suspected establishment for laboratory testing to determine the precise cause of the illness.

In response, the Ea Drang Commune People's Committee established an inspection team. They have temporarily suspended the business operations of the banh mi establishment believed to be responsible for the suspected food poisoning, pending the results of the ongoing tests.
