This marks the Sai Gon Eye System's first and only hospital in northern Dong Nai. The 5-story facility spans over 1,500 square meters, equipped with modern infrastructure and medical technology. Meritorious Doctor Nguyen Van Binh, Specialist Level II, from the Dong Nai City Department of Health, spoke at the opening. He noted that Sai Gon Eye Hospital Dong Xoai enhances specialized medical resources for Dong Nai city and aligns with the goal of developing a modern, balanced healthcare system. Mr. Binh stated, "This facility will provide high-quality eye care, particularly for residents in northern Dong Nai."
Drawing on 22 years of experience from the Sai Gon Eye System, Sai Gon Eye Hospital Dong Xoai implements strict standards for infection control and surgical safety. The hospital specializes in phaco surgery for cataracts, a critical service for the elderly, who represent a significant portion of local patients. This procedure facilitates rapid vision recovery, minimizes complications, and enhances patients' quality of life.
In addition to medical services, the hospital initiated social welfare programs on its opening day, offering 1,000 free eye exams and 300 free surgeries. This commitment extends through the long-term Vision Bus mobile examination program, which will provide mobile vision screening services to remote communes, districts, and border areas of the former Binh Phuoc region, bringing quality care directly to residents and supporting sustainable community health.
