The product sample, taken in District 10, Ho Chi Minh City, was tested by the Institute of Drug Control in Ho Chi Minh City. The 105 g bottled product's label identifies Vinapharma Production and Trading Co., Ltd. in Xuan Hoa Ward as responsible for market distribution, and Bio International Co., Ltd. in the Viet Nam - Singapore Industrial Park, An Phu Ward, as the manufacturer.

Test results confirmed that the Herbal Nano sample contained 2-Phenoxyethanol, an ingredient not listed in its declared components. The Drug Administration has mandated an immediate nationwide halt to the sale and use of this product batch, requiring its return to suppliers.
Both Vinapharma and Bio International are required to review all previously manufactured batches of Herbal Nano shower and hygiene gel. Should similar discrepancies be found, they must initiate a recall and report their findings to the Drug Administration by 23/1/2026.
In response, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has revoked the cosmetic product declaration number for the item and will conduct inspections of the two companies.
This incident is part of a broader trend, as the Drug Administration has recently increased efforts to identify and address businesses involved in selling products of unclear origin, poor quality, counterfeit goods, and false advertising. For instance, yesterday, the Ministry of Health also ordered the recall and destruction of 9 types of cosmetics, including hair dye and makeup remover oil, distributed by Japan Connection Investment and Trading Co., Ltd. This action was taken because the company failed to provide adequate product information documents.
