Lesley Maxwell, a personal trainer from Melbourne, Australia, recently gained significant attention on social media by sharing her core techniques for maintaining a captivating physique despite her age.
This stylish woman, unafraid to showcase her muscular curves, proves that age is merely a number when one knows how to care for themselves.
The secret weapon: stretching exercises
In a gym workout video, Maxwell appeared in tight sportswear, performing flexible spinal bends that revealed her rock-hard abdominal muscles. She also demonstrated various kneeling and sitting poses to train her thighs and calves.
"Stretching is often underestimated, but it is a great way to increase blood flow and expand the body's range of motion, and importantly, it feels very refreshing," Maxwell shared.
Online, the community showered her with praise. One fan commented, "Always amazing, Lesley". Another expressed admiration, "Her stretching is so charming and captivating, keep it up". Some even affirmed that she possesses a beauty combining strength, a radiant smile, and vibrant eyes.
The "automatic fat-burning" workout regimen
Maxwell, the 65-year-old athlete, once shared her secrets for a flat stomach, listing three top priorities:
Protein-priority nutrition: She humorously describes the first move as "squatting low to get steak and eggs from the fridge".
Weight training for muscle building: According to Maxwell, the greater the muscle mass, the more calories the body burns even when not active.
Intensive ab exercises: Maxwell prioritizes hanging knee raises and ab bicycle.
She affirms that her current physique is the result of daily dedication, a high-intensity weightlifting regimen, and a special workout schedule she developed over many years. "My routine involves lower body training in every session, about 4 days per week. I apply a proprietary 'alternating training' method: a lower body exercise is immediately followed by an upper body exercise," Maxwell revealed. She recounts that she can sometimes perform 50 hanging knee raises. Hanging from the bar not only provides an excellent spinal stretch but also presents an ultimate challenge for the abdominal muscles.
