Academy Award-winning actress Emma Stone possesses the world's most beautiful face, according to a new study that applies the ancient Greek Golden Ratio to measure physical perfection, Mail reported on 15/11. The research was conducted by doctor Julian De Silva, who directs the Centre for Advanced Facial Cosmetic and Plastic Surgery in London. Using computerized mapping techniques, his team analyzed the facial features of numerous celebrities and found that American actress Emma Stone achieved a compatibility of 94.72% with the Golden Ratio.

Stone became the "clear winner" due to the superior harmony of her features, De Silva explained. She achieved near-perfect scores for her jawline (97%), balanced lips (95.6%), and eyebrow shape (94.2%). According to the expert, this consistent excellence across all measured elements propelled the actress to the top of the list.
"These techniques allow us to decode some of the mysteries of what constitutes a person's physical beauty," De Silva shared, emphasizing that this technology not only helps analyze natural beauty but also holds important practical applications in regenerative medicine and cosmetic surgery.
So, what is the Golden Ratio and how is it applied?
This mathematical formula, approximately 1.618 and symbolized as Phi, was invented by the ancient Greeks. The fundamental principle is that a face or body is considered close to perfection if its proportions are closer to the number 1.618. During the Renaissance, great artists like Leonardo da Vinci used this equation to create masterpieces, notably the painting "Vitruvian Man," which depicts the perfect male body.

To apply the formula to human faces, modern scientists conduct detailed measurements. They calculate the ratio between the face's length and width, then measure three main segments: from the hairline to the midpoint between the eyes, from there to the end of the nose, and from the end of the nose to the chin. A face is highly rated aesthetically when these measurements are balanced, symmetrical, and have proportions closest to Phi.
While Emma Stone leads, the study revealed very close competition. Actress Zendaya closely followed in second place with 94.37%, scoring impressively for her lips (99.5%) but slightly lower for eyebrow position and shape. Similarly, Jenna Ortega possesses the most perfect forehead (99.6%) but has a lower score for overall face shape (88%). This indicates that overall beauty is a harmony of many factors.
The application of the Golden Ratio to assess beauty is not limited to women. A previous study by De Silva also published a list of the most attractive men, with actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson leading with a score of 93.04%. According to De Silva, this score even surpasses all actors who have played James Bond.
