The girl's family immediately took her to a medical station for first aid before transferring her to Quang Binh Friendship Hospital on 13/12. In the Department of Surgery, Anesthesia, and Resuscitation, doctors observed a skin defect on her right cheek, measuring approximately 2x3 cm, with jagged, bruised edges. She also had several scratches on her scalp.
The treatment team consulted and performed surgery to address the injuries on her face and head. She was prescribed antibiotics and pain medication, and received vaccinations for rabies and tetanus.
According to residents, the animal that attacked the girl is a wild monkey from a mountain area, which frequently enters residential areas searching for food. Before this incident, the same monkey had attacked four people, causing injuries.
