1,000 police officers showcase strength at deployment ceremony to protect Party Congress

Elite police forces, along with specialized vehicles and modern equipment, demonstrated their capabilities at a deployment ceremony aimed at ensuring the absolute safety of the 14th National Party Congress.

On 10/1, the Ministry of Public Security organized a deployment ceremony and security drill on Le Quang Dao street to ensure security and order for the 14th National Party Congress.

Leading the formation was the Police Flag Team, carrying a glorious traditional flag emblazoned with the words "For National Security".

Over the past month, more than 1,000 officers and soldiers from the Ministry of Public Security and Hanoi Police diligently trained and rehearsed formations for the deployment ceremony. Participating in the parade were familiar units: people's police, people's security, female traffic police, special forces police, guard police, and cavalry.

The anti-terrorism combat vehicle fleet of the special forces police, along with armored bulletproof specialized vehicles and riot control specialized vehicles, showcased their advanced technology. These vehicles offer high mobility across all terrains and feature modern combat weapon systems.

Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan, Chief of Office and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Security, stated that the Security and Order Subcommittee has implemented comprehensive measures to ensure security. The primary objective is to guarantee absolute safety, preventing even the slightest oversight, thereby contributing to the success of the congress.

The convoy of vehicles protecting and escorting Party and State leaders and international delegations passed the grandstand. These vehicles, equipped for the guard force, are used for receiving and escorting high-level delegations. The vehicles feature many superior capabilities, exemplified by the Chevrolet Suburban, specialized for multi-functional incident response, ensuring high mobility and combat readiness.

Mobile police forces demonstrated martial arts techniques for attacking and subduing criminals. In an instant, police swiftly neutralized criminals using dangerous weapons.

Officers from Special Forces Police Unit one, Mobile Police Command, demonstrated internal strength and breaking techniques. Internal strength maximizes physical and mental power, which officers apply to combat techniques and use to enhance their health. Training for this requires high intensity under various environmental conditions, including early mornings, midday sun, and harsh weather.

The demonstration of an AK bayonet dropped from a height onto the abdomen. This exercise demands courage, strong will, and extensive training to develop resilient, firm abdominal skin capable of withstanding sharp bayonets.

In a simulated scenario of attacking and subduing criminals entrenched in bunkers or houses, special forces officers utilized terrain and cover to covertly approach targets. Then, police planted explosives and destroyed the targets.

Officers and soldiers of Special Forces Police Unit one and the K9 unit of the Mobile Police Command demonstrated movement techniques, obstacle overcoming, and practical shooting. Special forces police crossed a single-log bridge and fired weapons from various positions. These positions allow the shooter to gain the initiative to overpower targets, forcing criminals to huddle and giving forces the upper hand.

Mobile police and special forces officers demonstrated overcoming a 5-meter wall complex. This simulated high wall requires officers and soldiers to possess strong physical endurance and good coordination.

Speaking at the deployment ceremony, Standing Member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu acknowledged and highly praised the core role of the police force. The police have closely coordinated with the military and relevant ministries and sectors to proactively grasp the situation, prevent, combat, and thwart from early on and from afar all subversive plots by hostile forces.

The 14th National Party Congress will take place over 7 days, from 19/1 to 25/1 in Hanoi.
