Armed youths attack two, citing annoyance over loud motorcycle revving

Y Phung Nie, irritated by loud motorcycle revving from a group of youths in Krong Ana commune, allegedly gathered accomplices, armed themselves, and ambushed them, seriously injuring two people.

On 3/4, Y Phung Nie and 4 youths, aged 18-19 and residing in Krong Ana commune, were criminally detained by Dak Lak Provincial Police for investigation into intentional injury and disturbing public order.

Among the suspects is Vu Phuc Bao, who is under 18 years old and has been released on bail with a restriction on leaving his place of residence.

According to the investigation, at approximately 10:30 PM on 31/3, Y Phung Nie and his friends were drinking at an acquaintance's house in a hamlet within Krong Ana commune. Feeling frustrated by youths from another hamlet who frequently rode motorcycles loudly through the area, displaying provocative behavior, the group decided to ambush and attack them.

Subsequently, they armed themselves with swords, pig-sticking knives, sticks, and beer bottles. They then positioned themselves near the hamlet's community house on provincial road 2, waiting in ambush.

At 11:00 PM that same day, upon seeing some youths riding motorcycles and revving their engines loudly, Y Phung Nie's group repeatedly rushed out, blocked their path, pursued them, and severely wounded two people, who required emergency hospitalization.
