Business household or enterprise: which is right for your food venture?

After Lunar New Year (Tet), a reader plans to open a restaurant for factory workers and seeks guidance on whether to register as a business household or establish an enterprise, citing concerns about complex tax procedures.

Having harbored this plan for a long time, Minh Tuyet recently decided to pursue it as her office work no longer feels suitable. She intends to submit her resignation after receiving her Tet bonus, with plans to open a restaurant serving three meals a day—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—for workers at a nearby garment factory.

However, her recent research through various media outlets indicates that business households now face relatively complex tax declaration procedures, quite similar to those for enterprises.

Given the scale and nature of this food and beverage business, Minh Tuyet is undecided whether to register as a business household or establish an enterprise. She would greatly appreciate any advice.
