Quoc was startled, braked suddenly, and fell onto the road. Angered, he rode his moto past the shuttle, blocked its path, and assaulted driver Minh before leaving. Minh then continued to drive passengers back to the bus station.
Later, Quoc drove his oto to find Minh. Upon encountering Minh, he continued to verbally abuse him. A security guard and Quoc's brother intervened and asked an acquaintance to drive Quoc home, realizing he had been drinking alcohol.
However, arriving at a gas station, Quoc demanded the acquaintance stop so he could drive. He then drove around the bus station looking for Minh. At this time, Huynh Gia Huy, Minh's son, and his friend Nguyen Trieu Vy, both 21, arrived at the bus station after hearing their father had been assaulted by Quoc.
Seeing Quoc park his oto in front of a gas pump and get out, Huy rushed forward and hit him with a helmet. Quoc's brother, standing nearby, ran over, grabbed Huy by the neck, and wrestled him to the ground. Minh pulled Quoc towards a corner of the gas pump structure, and people nearby rushed to intervene.
Quoc broke free, got into the oto which had an open door, and accelerated, driving into the crowd. This action injured 7 men. Quoc then drove away and was later found by police.
The incident is currently under investigation.
