On 21/5, Power Engineering Consulting Joint Stock Company 2 (PECC2) announced an irregular information disclosure, stating that Nguyen Chon Hung, chairman of the board, and Bui Thi Ngoc Ly, chief accountant, were indicted by the Police Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Public Security.
PECC2 has not yet disclosed the specific charges or violations of the two individuals. However, the company cited an announcement from the investigation agency, stating that the indictments are part of an ongoing investigation into a case involving the National Power Transmission Corporation, PC1 Group Joint Stock Company, and other related companies nationwide.

Nguyen Chon Hung, 56, is a native of Quang Tri. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering and a Master of Business Administration. He has served as chairman of the board of PECC2 since 6/2022.
PECC2 is a leading Vietnamese firm in consulting, designing, and managing the construction of power projects, offering comprehensive consulting services for large energy initiatives. The company also contributes to numerous national infrastructure development and energy security projects.
Over the past three months, the company's stock price has dropped from 44,000 VND to 31,950 VND as of today's market close.
Previously, PC1 Group also disclosed that its chairman of the board, Trinh Van Tuan, along with six other management personnel, were indicted by the Police Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Public Security. They face charges of embezzlement and violations of accounting regulations causing serious consequences. Following the detention of four individuals, PC1's board of directors was left with only one member.
