Le Ngoc Hien and his wife, Phan Thi Thanh Vy, 26, were arrested on 27/8 by the Economic Police Department (PC03) of TP HCM Police for selling counterfeit goods.

The arrests followed an investigation that began in late June. PC03, in coordination with local police, inspected a warehouse on Tan Hiep 8-1 Street in Hoc Mon commune. There, they discovered Hien, his wife, and staff members selling Havaianas sandals online.

During the inspection, authorities seized over 11,000 pairs of sandals suspected of being fake Havaianas brand products, along with numerous related documents. The seized goods were determined to have an estimated value of over 7,3 billion VND if they were genuine. The investigating agency is currently clarifying the roles of other individuals involved in the operation.
