On 11/8, Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, director of Ngoc Viet Education Company, faced trial at the People's Court Area 2, Hanoi, on charges of fraudulent appropriation of property, nearly eight months after her arrest and prosecution.

The charges stem from the "Ve day bon canh chim troi" art performance, organized by Ngoc Viet Education Company since 6/2025. The show was scheduled for 8 p.m. on 28/12 at the Indoor Athletics Arena in Tu Liem ward. This music event garnered significant interest from both domestic and international audiences, featuring compositions by late musicians Van Cao, Trinh Cong Son, Pham Duy, and musician Tran Tien. Many prominent singers and artists, including: Tran Thu Ha, Hong Nhung, and Doan Trang, were contracted directly by Ngoc Viet Education Company to participate.

Hanoi Police investigations revealed that Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, despite knowing the performance lacked the necessary conditions to proceed, instructed her staff to announce that the show would go on as planned. She continued to direct ticket sales and collect payments from the public.

On the day of the scheduled event, Ms. Ha directed staff to open the venue doors, allowing audience members into the Indoor Athletics Arena. Spectators were then asked to wait until 8:30 p.m. before a representative from Ngoc Viet Education Company announced the program's cancellation. This abrupt cancellation sparked outrage among many audience members, who demanded ticket refunds and subsequently filed complaints with the police.

During the investigation, Ms. Ha stated she had worked on the program for six months. She admitted her "biggest procedural error" was failing to meet payment deadlines with the music director. "I failed to reach an agreement to pay 50% before the show and 50% after, as I had intended. This payment issue was one of my major mistakes," Ms. Ha confessed.

Music director Vu Quang Trung asserted that the "Ve day bon canh chim troi" show had to be postponed due to copyright disputes, as the organizers had not paid royalties for the songs. He added that the organizers breached their contractual agreement by not adequately compensating the team. After multiple discussions failed to yield a resolution, the group of musicians and the band decided to withdraw from the show, citing insufficient preparation time to ensure the quality of the performance.
