A taxi driver intervened on 3/10, taking a 14-year-old girl to police after discovering she was traveling 450 km to Phu Tho to meet an online acquaintance who had been sending her inappropriate content and harmful links. Duong Dinh Tuan, 30, from Thach Xuan commune, was driving the girl from Ha Huy Tap ward when he became suspicious.
During the journey, Tuan questioned the girl about her parents' permission, to which she claimed approval. When the driver inquired about her specific destination, she indicated a commune in Phu Tho province, guided by a location shared by her online "friend."
Growing suspicious, Tuan requested to see her phone to verify the route. Reviewing messages, he discovered that the online acquaintance was sending the girl harmful links and requesting sensitive images and videos, content clearly unsuitable for her age.
Tuan attempted to contact the individual via Zalo but was unsuccessful. Recognizing the girl was potentially in danger, he immediately changed course and drove her to Thanh Sen Ward Police to report the situation.

Upon receiving Tuan's report, Thanh Sen Ward Police quickly verified the details and contacted the girl's family. Her mother subsequently came to the station and took her home.
Police urge parents to actively supervise, guide, and appropriately control their children's use of phones and social media. They also recommend regular conversations to promptly identify and address any potentially harmful online relationships.
