The incident began when Hong's 27-year-old daughter falsely claimed to her parents that she was pregnant and regularly attended check-ups. When her parents questioned why she had not given birth, she stated she had been examined at Lac Viet Friendship Hospital. However, an additional examination on 17/9 at the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology revealed she was not pregnant at all.
Despite this, the daughter continued her deception. She told her parents that during an examination on 16/9, doctors at Lac Viet Friendship Hospital diagnosed the fetus with abnormalities and recommended termination.
Believing his daughter's account, Hong, accompanied by dozens of relatives, went to Lac Viet Friendship Hospital. There, he verbally abused staff, caused a disturbance, and spread false information about the hospital. He livestreamed the entire disruptive process on his personal Facebook account.
The livestream attracted 17,000 viewers, generating numerous interactions, comments, and shares. Police assessed that this event significantly affected the hospital's normal operations and reputation, while also impacting the mental well-being of patients and their families.
In addition to Hong, police are also investigating the actions of other individuals involved in posting and sharing false content and videos on social media, to ensure they are handled according to legal regulations.
