A father's quick action saved his 15-year-old daughter from a Christmas Day kidnapping in Porter, Texas. The teenager was abducted at knifepoint, but her father successfully tracked her phone, leading to her rescue and the suspect's arrest.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) reported receiving a kidnapping call involving the girl at approximately 4:50 p.m. on 25/12. The girl had gone to walk her dog but did not return home at her usual time, causing her parents concern. Her father then used a parental control feature to locate her phone, finding its signal originating from a "heavily wooded area in Harris County, over 3 kilometers away."
According to MCSO, the father located his daughter via her phone and found her and the dog inside a dark red pickup truck. A 23-year-old partially clothed man was also in the vehicle. The father then helped his daughter escape the vehicle and immediately contacted law enforcement.
MCSO stated the suspect used a knife to threaten and kidnap the victim on the street. Witnesses provided a detailed description of the truck, which helped police identify the suspect's location and identity as Giovanni Rosales Espinoza, 23, of Porter.
