Ho Chi Minh City Police arrested Le Minh Tri, 42, on 24/8 at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. He was taken into custody under an arrest warrant for property theft.

According to police records, Tri fled to the US in 2005 after committing property theft. The investigative police agency subsequently issued a warrant for his arrest.

Over 10 days ago, detectives received intelligence that Tri planned to re-enter Vietnam via Tan Son Nhat International Airport. This information led to a coordinated operation with on-duty airport personnel, resulting in his apprehension.

Tri was subsequently handed over to the Criminal Police Department for further investigation.
