According to the investigation, on 13/10, Toan's accomplices got into a brawl with three young men buying porridge, with many people attempting to intervene. Afterwards, the three young men proactively sought out Toan's accomplices to reconcile, but the group surrounded and assaulted them.
When Toan was driven to the scene by his accomplices, he immediately charged in and attacked the opponents. Tran Phuoc Loi, 17, Toan's son, also participated in the assault, wielding a homemade knife. After committing the crime, the entire group collected their weapons and fled.
The victims were taken to the emergency room; one of the three sustained injuries assessed at 14%. An Giang Provincial Police established a special task force to pursue and apprehend the suspects, while also searching Toan's residence and seizing numerous weapons.
The investigative agency is expanding the case and pursuing other related suspects.
