Previously, on 4/12, the homeowner reported that she had accidentally found a gold necklace, weighing nearly one luong, in the ground floor toilet's flush tank. Upon checking her other valuables, she discovered three additional gold bracelets, valued at approximately 80 million dong, were also missing.
From initial observations, police suspected Ba Hien, as she had access to the victim's bedroom. However, when summoned for questioning, she was uncooperative, claimed she was falsely accused, and demanded that the police provide evidence.

Police verified information at numerous locations and discovered that Hien had previously sold the homeowner's gold at a jewelry store in Binh Loi Trung Ward, former Binh Thanh District. Confronted with this evidence and images, she confessed to multiple instances of stealing property from the owner.
Hien stated that she had already sold the bracelets stolen on earlier occasions. However, the recently stolen gold necklace had not yet been sold. Fearing discovery by the owner, she had hidden it in the toilet's flush tank.
The investigating agency has successfully recovered all evidence related to the case.
