According to the investigation, yesterday at around 2:30 h, a 35-year-old delivery driver received an order to deliver a dog grooming clipper to Mr. Tan at a hotel on Nguyen Sang street.
Upon receiving the package, Mr. Tan asserted that the product was not the correct model he had ordered. He then demanded the shipper open the box to inspect and test the device. He proceeded to lift a dog by its hind legs, loudly insisting the clipper be tested immediately.
The delivery driver declined, explaining, "I am only the delivery person," and instructed the customer to contact the seller directly to report the issue or initiate a return or exchange, as delivery personnel are not authorized to handle product returns.
Investigators stated that as the shipper turned to leave and return to his vehicle, Mr. Tan unexpectedly rushed forward and punched him in the face, causing a nosebleed. Mr. Tan then continued to chase and verbally abuse the driver.
Ho Chi Minh City Police emphasized that any act of violence used to resolve disputes will be prosecuted according to the law. Residents are urged to remain calm during commercial disputes and product deliveries to prevent impulsive actions that could lead to legal violations.
