On 21/12, Vinh Long Provincial Police announced they are searching for the suspect.

According to initial information, at approximately 6:40 AM on 20/12, a 45-year-old male security guard was on duty near the gate of Vinh Long General Hospital, Phuoc Hau ward, Vinh Long province.

At that time, an unidentified man approached and stabbed the guard once in the left armpit with a sharp knife, causing him to collapse with severe injuries. After the attack, the assailant fled the scene. The victim was rushed to the emergency room and received 16 units of blood but succumbed to his severe wounds.

According to witnesses, a dispute had occurred earlier involving a female visitor retrieving her vehicle from the hospital parking lot. The male security guard intervened, leading to an altercation with the man present. After others separated them, the man left, but returned approximately 10 minutes later to commit the crime.
