Tigit Motorbikes owner arrested

Nguyen Le Ba Quoc, 29, owner of Tigit Motorbikes, is accused of using a personal account to receive sales revenue to evade over 470 million VND in taxes.

On 6/2, Quoc was prosecuted and temporarily detained by Ho Chi Minh City Police for investigation into tax evasion.

An Khanh Ward Police previously identified suspicious business activity at Quoc's private enterprise, located in the Sarimi apartment complex on Nguyen Co Thach Street, An Khanh Ward.

Investigators determined that from 1/1/2024 to 13/8/2025, Quoc used his personal bank account to receive customer payments instead of the company's official account as required.

Authorities stated that this action aimed to conceal actual revenue and evade tax obligations to the State. The total sales and service revenue channeled into Quoc's personal account exceeded 2 billion VND, significantly higher than declared figures.

An audit by the Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department concluded that the business evaded over 470 million VND, including value-added tax and corporate income tax.
