Leading 15 Chinese nationals through forest for illegal entry

Vu Van Tung agreed to facilitate illegal entry for Chinese nationals for a fee of one million dong per person, then hired an accomplice to guide 15 individuals through a forest in Mong Cai.

The Quang Ninh Provincial Police Investigation Security Agency announced on 14/9 that it has completed its investigation, clarifying the actions of Vu Van Tung and Nguyen Van Trung in organizing illegal entry for others.

Trung was arrested on 31/12/2025 while leading a group of 15 Chinese nationals through a forest in Mong Cai. Tung surrendered to authorities on 8/1, admitting his involvement.

According to police findings, in 5/2025, Tung met a Chinese man named A Cay and agreed to arrange illegal entry into Vietnam for one million dong per person. In mid-12/2025, Tung approached Trung, offering him five million dong per trip to transport the individuals.

On 31/12/2025, acting on Tung's instructions, Trung picked up 15 Chinese nationals at the Ngoc Son beach area, Binh Ngoc 2 neighborhood, Mong Cai 1 ward. He then guided the group through the forest towards a main road to meet a passenger bus coordinated by Tung. It was at this point that authorities intervened, apprehending the group and Trung on the spot.

Police emphasize that despite ongoing public awareness campaigns and enforcement, many individuals, driven by financial gain and a lack of stable employment, continue to facilitate illegal exit and entry activities.

Authorities advise citizens to exercise caution regarding "easy work, high pay" offers, to refrain from brokering or guiding individuals for illegal entry or exit, and to proactively report any suspicious signs to law enforcement.
