Nguyen Van Dien was temporarily detained by Hanoi City Police on 26/9, facing a criminal investigation for disturbing public order, the Traffic Police Department announced.

Investigations revealed the incident occurred at noon on 15/9, when Dien was driving his Lexus on the Phap Van - Cau Gie expressway, specifically near An Duyen village, Phu Xuyen commune. Police stated that Dien drove erratically, weaving in front of a car then stopping abruptly in the lane next to the median strip, trying to force it to halt.

Immediately following this, a passenger bus, bearing a Thanh Hoa license plate and traveling from Ha Noi to Ninh Binh, collided forcefully with the rear of the car. The impact injured two people, severely damaged three vehicles, and caused localized traffic congestion.

Highway Traffic Police Team No. 3 later transferred the case files, vehicles, and evidence to Phu Xuyen Commune Police for ongoing investigation.
