An Giang Provincial Police arrested 21-year-old Tac on 9/6, charging him with statutory rape.

The arrest followed the circulation of an edited video on social media, which indicated child sexual abuse.

An Giang Provincial Police, supported by the Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security, identified Tac as the account holder. Tac, a resident of Tan An commune, was working as a laborer in Di An ward, TP HCM.

During questioning, Tac admitted to abusing the child 5 years ago. He stated that the victim's mother had entrusted her daughter to Tac's mother for care during the Covid-19 pandemic. Living in the same house, Tac abused the girl and recorded the act.

Recently, he edited the video and uploaded it to an anonymous account. Tac's motives are currently under investigation.
