On 15/10, the Quang Tri Provincial Police investigative agency initiated legal proceedings against Dinh Xuan Sam, from Dong Trach commune, on charges of murder.

The incident occurred on the evening of 11/10. Sam and several companions were drinking beer at Luong Son Bac restaurant, located near his home. Sam became embroiled in an argument with Hoang Sy Nguyen, stemming from a previous conflict. Nguyen Duy Dang, another person at their table, also exchanged words with Sam.

As the group prepared to leave, Sam stopped Dang. Witnessing the altercation, Nguyen intervened. Sam then used a weapon to stab Nguyen in the left chest.

The victim was rushed to the hospital but died from his injuries.
