On 14/12, the People's Procuracy of Area 1 - Quang Tri announced the approval of the decision to prosecute and temporarily detain Nguyen Quang Hoang, 20, residing in Dong Hoi ward, on charges of property theft, under Article 173 of the Penal Code.

According to the investigation, on 8/12, Hoang broke into a house in Dong Hoi ward. He stole a Toyota Yaris car and 900,000 VND. After the theft, Hoang drove the stolen car to a pub to pick up his girlfriend.

Police launched an investigation and arrested Hoang following a report from the victim. Authorities confirmed that Hoang had recently completed a prison sentence for property theft on 1/9.
