Dak Lak Provincial Police arrested Trung, originally from Khanh Hoa, for rape on 27/6.

According to the investigation, in late 2011, Trung, the teenage girl, and two men traveled from Khanh Hoa province to Quang Phu commune, Dak Lak province. They worked as hired coffee pickers and stayed at a resident's home.

On the evening of 26/11/2011, the group was drinking at a local restaurant. The teenage girl did not consume alcohol. On the way back, Trung fell. When the girl came to help him, he embraced and groped her. Her two companions intervened to stop Trung.

Later that night, after everyone had fallen asleep, Trung saw the teenage girl sitting alone on the balcony. He approached her, restrained her, threatened her, covered her mouth, and choked her until she lost consciousness. He then raped her, according to investigators.

The homeowner discovered the incident. Trung seized the opportunity and fled, remaining a fugitive until recently.

Police recently located Trung hiding in Hoa Thang ward, Khanh Hoa province, and apprehended him.
