According to the investigation, two days prior at noon, Huy visited the Kim Yen gold shop on Co Giang Street in Cau Ong Lanh Ward. He requested to view two 18K gold bracelets, weighing approximately 1,5 luong. While the owner was distracted, he grabbed the jewelry and fled.
Upon receiving the report, Cau Ong Lanh Ward Police leadership immediately went to the scene, coordinating with the Criminal Police Department to assess the situation and direct pursuit efforts. By that same evening, 6 hours after the incident, detectives apprehended Huy and recovered the stolen property.
Cau Ong Lanh Ward Police recommend that gold shop owners implement measures to enhance security and protect their assets. These include installing high-quality surveillance cameras and smart alarm systems; restricting free entry and strictly controlling strangers; increasing protection; and regularly training staff on snatch-and-grab and armed robbery situations to ensure asset safety.
