Investigators determined that since 2016, Hieu had been using social media as his primary distribution channel. He targeted buyers in Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding areas, offering firearms, ammunition, military gun components, rudimentary weapons, and supporting tools.
To evade detection and tracking by authorities, Hieu repeatedly created numerous fake accounts. He conducted online transactions with extreme caution.
