On 4/4, Bo De ward police, in coordination with relevant units, are investigating the property snatching committed by An, 21, and two minors, 13 and 16, all residents of Bach Dang ward, Hai Phong. An has two prior convictions for theft and snatch-and-grab robbery.

Police reported that the three teenagers, after leaving home and wandering, traveled from Hai Phong to Hanoi, where they exploited public vulnerability to commit crimes. Around 4 PM on 1/4, the group spotted a 96-year-old woman in a wheelchair in an alley at 295/24 Ngoc Thuy street. Noticing a handbag on her lap, they decided to snatch it.

After a brief discussion, An approached the woman, pretending to ask for directions. Simultaneously, his accomplices moved in and snatched the handbag. The entire group was arrested by 3 PM on 2/4.
