Upon receiving the report, Chau Doc Ward Police dispatched officers to the scene. They also notified the Chau Doc Waterway Police Station, part of the An Giang Provincial Police, to coordinate a search operation with other relevant units and local residents.
About 30 minutes later, at 9:15 PM, rescue teams located the man floating in the river, approximately 100 meters from where he jumped. They quickly reached him, brought him ashore, and transported him by patrol car to a hospital for emergency treatment.
Authorities confirmed that the young man's condition is now stable.
Chau Doc Ward Police urged the public to remain calm and seek support from family when facing life's challenges, rather than resorting to impulsive actions that endanger their lives and cause distress for their families and society.
