At noon on 10/7, professional units brought Thach Kim Thai, 48, to several related locations to reenact the scene, including Phu Long Bridge, where the suspect stated he threw a sack containing his wife's body into the Sai Gon river after committing the crime.
There, under the supervision of investigators, Thai re-enacted his route and actions according to his testimony. Concurrently, authorities also worked at the motel room in Binh Hoa Ward, the scene of the murder, to cross-reference evidence and clarify the incident's developments.
Previously, multiple task forces used canoes to search along both banks of the Sai Gon river, looking for evidence the suspect claimed to have disposed of. The search continued for many days, even after Thai's arrest.

According to the investigation, in the early morning of 28/6, Thai and his wife had a conflict in their motel room. Afterward, Thai murdered his wife, dismembered the body, put it into a sack, transported it by motorbike to Phu Long Bridge, and then threw it into the Sai Gon river to conceal his actions.
After committing the crime, Thai still went to the company where he and his wife worked. He wrote a leave application on behalf of his wife, citing the reason of returning to their hometown to care for a relative. In the following days, he continued his normal routine until he was discovered and arrested.
At the investigative agency, Thai stated that marital conflicts had persisted for many years. He claimed his wife frequently contacted other men by phone and paid little attention to her husband and children, leading to escalating tensions.
However, Thai's motive and the full circumstances of the case are still being clarified by the police.
