Investigation revealed that Do Hoang Phi had a conflict with Nguyen (the victim's name has been changed), a student at Phuoc Long High School. Phi then enlisted Le Minh Nghia to ambush and assault Nguyen. At noon on 23/3, the two teenagers chased Nguyen, who was riding a motorbike with a friend after school. During the pursuit, Nghia was seen holding a knife.
The pursuit led to Tran Hung Dao street, in front of a Bach Hoa Xanh store in Phuoc Long ward. There, Phi forced Nguyen's motorbike to stop. Nghia dismounted and attacked with the knife. Despite the student attempting to flee, Nghia pursued him, stabbing him in the back, causing him to collapse instantly.
Phuoc Long Ward Police arrived quickly at the scene. They transported the victim, who was seriously injured, to emergency care and apprehended the two perpetrators.
Nguyen's mother later sent a letter to Phuoc Long Ward Police, expressing gratitude for their swift response in locating her son and ensuring he received immediate medical attention. Due to their prompt support, the victim is now out of critical condition and his health is stable.
