Nguyen Xuan Thuong, 28, from Phu Tho, was arrested by Da Nang City Police on 24/12 afternoon. He was found hiding in a cave on Son Tra peninsula.

According to initial investigations, the incident occurred on 23/12 morning. During an argument, Thuong allegedly used scissors to stab his wife, Ly, 33, multiple times in the neck and back. The attack took place on Truong Chinh street, An Khe ward, which is part of National Highway 1A. The incident was captured by security cameras.

After passersby intervened, shouting for help, Thuong climbed over a railway fence and fled the scene. Ly was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries and significant blood loss but is now stable.

Following an extensive search lasting over a day, police located and apprehended Thuong on Son Tra peninsula.

Da Nang City Police are currently investigating Thuong's motive for the attack.
