Gia Lai Province police escorted Tinh, a resident of Tuy Phuoc Commune, from Can Tho City back to Gia Lai on August 6th to investigate the murder.

Nguyen Thi Thanh Tu, 55, was found dead in her home in Tuy Phuoc Tay Commune on the morning of August 2nd by relatives. She had a head injury, and the house appeared to have been ransacked.

A trail of blood led from the yard into the living room, and several household items were disturbed.

Police tracked Tinh to My Xuyen Ward, Can Tho City, approximately 800 km from the crime scene, and arrested him last night.

The suspect, who lived near the victim, is believed to have been motivated by robbery.
