Khanh Hoa Provincial Police arrested Nghia, a resident of Nam Nha Trang ward, on 20/5 for murder.

Earlier, late on 12/5, a 55-year-old woman from Cam Lam commune checked into the Kieu Vy guesthouse in Tra Long 2 residential group, Ba Ngoi ward, with Nghia for an overnight stay.

The following day, Nghia departed, leaving the woman alone in the room. On the afternoon of 14/5, after several hours of silence, the guesthouse owner used a spare key to investigate. Inside, they found the woman motionless with visible wounds and immediately alerted the police.

Police identified Nghia as a suspect and initiated a search. At 10:00 on 20/5, officers apprehended Nghia in Tay Nha Trang ward, approximately 30 km from the guesthouse, where he was hiding.

During questioning, Nghia confessed to fatally stabbing the woman with a knife at the guesthouse. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the case.
