Singers Long Nhat and Son Ngoc Minh arrested in drug-related case

Two male singers, Long Nhat, 58, and Son Ngoc Minh, 36, have been arrested by Ho Chi Minh City Police on allegations of drug involvement.

On 20/5, the Ho Chi Minh City Police's Drug Crime Investigation Department arrested singers Long Nhat (real name Dinh Long Nhat) and Son Ngoc Minh. They are being investigated for organizing the illegal use of narcotics.

This action comes as Ho Chi Minh City Police expand investigations into several drug rings recently.

Long Nhat, a male singer, rose to fame in the 1990s, specializing in lyrical, folk, and revolutionary music. He was beloved for songs such as: May nhip cau tre, Toc em duoi ga, and O hai dau noi nho. Long Nhat was known for his warm voice and gentle performance style.

Son Ngoc Minh was a male singer best known as a former member of the boy band V.Music, mentored by singer Ho Ngoc Ha. After the band disbanded, he pursued a solo singing career and acted.
