Nguyen, 38, from Thai Nguyen, was prosecuted by the Investigation Police Agency of Lang Son Provincial Police for customer deception on 25/7.

According to the investigation, Nguyen owned a dental clinic located in Tran Phu hamlet, Bac Son commune, with the slogan 'leading in smile aesthetics'. To attract customers, Nguyen and his staff wore white lab coats and posted advertisements on personal Facebook accounts.

He introduced himself as a 'practicing doctor with 20 years of experience' and claimed the clinic had 'fully staffed doctors'. Additionally, Nguyen listed himself as a doctor on patient examination forms to build credibility and trust with customers. However, police determined that Nguyen's clinic did not have any qualified medical doctors but impersonated them to examine and treat dental conditions.

On 9/7, this clinic was performing dental examinations and treatments for three patients when police caught them in the act.

Currently, the investigation agency has worked with 18 customers, determining that Duc Anh clinic illegally profited 400 million dong. Nguyen also confessed that from 2023 until now, he has impersonated a doctor to examine and treat many people, appropriating billions of dong.

To protect their health and rights, Lang Son Provincial Police recommends that people only seek medical treatment at healthcare facilities and clinics with fully licensed doctors as regulated.
