15 years of Generali Vietnam aiming to 'protect every moment' for customers

Generali develops a diverse product portfolio across various needs and a wide distribution network, aiming for sustainable development with a customer-centric approach.

Generali Vietnam entered the market on 20/4/2011, developing insurance solutions tailored to the needs and financial capabilities of domestic customers. After 15 years, the company has expanded its network to include over 30,000 consultants and established a distribution system with hundreds of general agency offices nationwide, pursuing its mission to become a "lifetime partner" for customers.

The company continuously expands its product portfolio, enhances customer protection, and implements community programs. These efforts have strengthened its position in the life insurance market over the years, reflected in a high R-NPS index, which measures customer satisfaction.

The foundation for building this distribution system is inherited from Generali, the insurance and asset management group established in 1831 in Italy. It operates in over 50 countries and serves over 75 million customers. In 2025, the group reported an adjusted net profit of EUR 4,3 billion (approximately over 132 trillion VND).

Over 15 years of development in Vietnam, Generali has gradually built a diverse and extensive distribution system, bringing insurance solutions closer to customers nationwide. This ecosystem is formed by a network of general agency offices, where financial consultants directly assist customers in planning and protecting their future. In its early days, Generali established general agency office models named GenCasa and GenBella, blending Italian style with Eastern cultural values, standardized across product models, services, and service spaces.

By early 2026, Generali developed a network of hundreds of general agency offices nationwide, serving as workplaces for over 30,000 financial consultants. These offices act as reliable touchpoints, connecting customers, providing consultation and after-sales care, and enabling consultants to deliver services according to common standards.

Alongside its agency channel, Generali Vietnam expanded distribution channels through partnerships with banks, group insurance, and institutional agents, including PVcomBank, Nam A Bank, and OCB, to diversify options for customers to access insurance solutions.

Beyond growth in scale, the company believes the value of its 15-year journey lies in accompanying customers through various life stages: from starting a family, having children, maturing, and career development to retirement. Insurance solutions are designed to provide peace of mind during these times, helping customers proactively plan for the long term.

Each insurance contract represents a long-term commitment, while benefit payments demonstrate the fulfillment of that commitment. As of 31/12/2025, Generali Vietnam served nearly 500,000 individual customers and over 400 corporate clients nationwide. The company has processed over 1.5 million benefit claims, totaling over 4.3 trillion VND, being present during many crucial moments for its customers.

Generali Vietnam's product portfolio focuses on long-term protection and savings needs. The company provides health and critical illness insurance, accident risk protection, education and retirement savings solutions, and investment-linked products that combine protection with financial value growth.

To enhance customer care efficiency, Generali Vietnam has invested in technology, simplifying and digitizing operational processes. The company deployed the GenVita digital ecosystem, built a data storage system, and automated sales processes to shorten processing times at transaction points. These steps contribute to completing a modern insurance ecosystem, supporting the expansion of customer service capabilities nationwide.

Beyond business activities, Generali Vietnam implements community initiatives, integrating social responsibility into its sustainable development strategy. Generali stated it has allocated over 110 billion VND to social activities over the past 15 years.

Through The Human Safety Net, a non-profit organization established by the group, activities focus on supporting families and children, aiming for sustainable impact. Generali Vietnam collaborates with the Vietnam National Fund for Children and UNICEF to implement parenting education programs and raise funds for school construction for children in highland areas. The company also supports communities in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and stabilizing their lives.

These contributions are recognized through several awards, such as "Enterprise for the Community" at Saigon Times CSR, "Leading Insurance Company in Innovation and Sustainable Development" at the Golden Dragon Awards 2025, and international accolades like the Insurance Asia Awards and Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards. These results reflect the company's commitment to linking business growth with corporate social responsibility.

Alongside social activities, Generali Vietnam focuses on human resource development, building a positive work environment, and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion. For many years, the company has been honored in workplace rankings such as "Top 100 Best Workplaces in Vietnam" by Anphabe and various categories at the HR Asia Awards.

Building on this foundation, Generali Vietnam continues to pursue its goal of becoming a "lifetime partner," accompanying Vietnamese families through all life stages and achieving long-term sustainable development.
