In the midst of modern life, as work intensifies and many young people constantly race against deadlines, data, and the pressure to adapt to technology, working overtime until late at night or forgetting breaks has become common.
Near midnight on 3/6, Thanh Ha's (26, an office worker in TP HCM) laptop screen was still on. She was engrossed in unfinished work tabs, with a cup of coffee on her desk, cold since the afternoon, and an unfinished dinner.
Similarly, Minh Khoi (29, a technology engineer in Hanoi) often leaves the office later than planned. Every day, he is accustomed to lengthy meetings and a continuous stream of deadlines. Amid these busy days, the smartwatch on Thanh Ha's and Minh Khoi's wrists occasionally vibrates, reminding them to stand up and move, take a short rest, or note health indicators exceeding normal thresholds.
After the Covid-19 pandemic, young people gradually paid more attention to overall health, but in reality, many face imbalanced lifestyles. Prolonged stress, late nights, prolonged sitting, lack of physical activity, and irregular eating habits are increasingly common in urban life. A range of issues related to blood pressure, cardiovascular health, or metabolism tend to affect younger individuals, with many only discovering these problems when their condition has become more severe.
Against this backdrop, Huawei continuously researches and develops its wearable device ecosystem, aiming to evolve the smartwatch beyond a mere tech gadget or fashion accessory into a daily health monitoring tool. This philosophy is clearly demonstrated through the Huawei Watch Fit 5 Series, launched in early May.

According to IDC Worldwide Quarterly Wearable Device Tracker, Huawei is projected to be the second largest smartwatch brand globally in 2025, with 25,5 million devices shipped, representing a 21,7% increase year-on-year.
A Huawei representative pointed out that as the wearable market becomes increasingly competitive and shows signs of saturation, these results partly reflect their sound strategy: integrating in-depth health technology into youthful, accessible devices suitable for the daily lives of most young people.
While the GT Series features a classic style with a round face, the Fit Series opts for a dynamic square face design. Continuing this spirit, the Watch Fit 5 Series has been continuously improved. Its thin bezel creates a full-screen display experience. Users can express their individuality with a diverse color palette and numerous strap options.

The health experience is among the most notable changes in the new generation of smartwatches. For the first time, the company has added a feature to assist in assessing diabetes risk, emphasizing that "the device does not replace medical diagnostic methods or display specific glucose levels like a specialized blood glucose meter".
A company representative stated that the Watch Fit 5 Pro uses optical sensors to record physiological data and analyze trends related to blood sugar changes over 3-14 days, thereby providing a risk assessment.
This smartwatch also features a range of advanced health tracking technologies, including: CE-standard electrocardiogram (ECG), arterial stiffness assessment, arrhythmia analysis via pulse waves, and the new generation Huawei TruSleep sleep monitoring system.
"Previously, wearable devices primarily played the role of data recording; the new generation of smartwatches is shifting towards analysis, warnings, and helping users understand their bodies better", the representative added.

The Watch Fit 5 Series also demonstrates Huawei's approach to exercise experience. For many young people today, living healthy does not mean hours-long gym sessions. Instead, they opt for a few minutes of exercise at home or stretching at the office after many hours of continuous sitting in front of a computer.
Therefore, the Huawei team added a "mini workout" feature to provide short exercises targeting various muscle groups such as the neck, shoulders, and back, suitable for office workers. Users can follow and quickly perform small movements directly at their desks or during short breaks throughout the day without requiring additional equipment.

According to the smartwatch manufacturer's representative, instead of creating pressure to "have to work out", the mini workout is designed to make exercise more natural and easier to maintain amidst a busy lifestyle.
The Watch Fit 5 Series supports over 100 specialized sports modes. The company has also expanded the experience for racket sports through a series of specialized applications such as PickleX (for pickleball), Tennix (for tennis), or Goodshot (for badminton).

A representative from the manufacturer stated that from the outset, the Huawei Watch Fit 5 Series was designed to understand and "touch" the lives of young people. The product debuted at the "Huawei Innovative Product Launch" event in Bangkok, Thailand, on 7/5. With the message "Now is your spark", the company emphasized how wearable technology is gradually becoming an integral part of modern lifestyles.

After its global launch, the device reached Vietnamese enthusiasts through various touchpoints—from tech communities and content creators to running groups, pickleball, and amateur badminton clubs.
Additionally, the company expanded the user experience to be more relevant to young users' lives. Community runs, sports activities, and watch face personalization workshops were organized to create spaces for users to directly interact with and learn about the product.
For many years, smartwatches were considered gadgets for tech enthusiasts. However, with the Huawei Watch Fit 5 Series, fashion, health, and movement are connected in a daily experience.
"We are not simply selling products; we want to make health monitoring technology accessible and relatable to users. Simultaneously, we are gradually developing a healthy living ecosystem, focusing on the young community in Vietnam", the company representative added.
