The Kun Marathon will debut in Vung Tau on the morning of 29/8 at Tam Giac Park, Quang Trung Street, Vung Tau City. This race is designed for 2,000 children aged 6-10, featuring a one-kilometer course. The day before the event, parents can pick up race kits for their children at the same location.
Vung Tau marks the latest stop for the Kun Marathon, following events in Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, Can Tho, Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Hai Phong. The race is held at the beginning of the National Day holiday, running from 29/8 to 2/9. For many families, this is an opportunity to combine a children's race with a seaside getaway. After completing the morning race, families will have the remainder of the holiday to enjoy the beach, explore attractions, and savor local cuisine.

The Kun Marathon is scheduled for 29/8, one day before the VnExpress Marathon Vung Tau 2026. Both events are held in the city center, 24 hours apart. This arrangement allows families to plan a race trip for both children and parents. Children will compete on the first day, while parents can participate in the 5km, 10km, or 21km distances the following morning.
The Kun Marathon is part of the VnExpress Marathon series, organized by VnExpress e-newspaper in collaboration with the KUN brand (LOF International Dairy Joint Stock Company). Parents should register only via the official website and follow updates on the event's official fanpage. Upon successful registration, parents will receive a confirmation email with instructions from the organizing committee. Each account can register a maximum of two children, and the system automatically closes once capacity is reached. For pages or social media accounts not on the official list, parents should verify carefully before providing personal information or making transactions.
Tam Giac Park is located opposite Front Beach, in central Vung Tau. Kun Runners will experience a unique seaside course, a departure from previous events held in urban areas. This location also serves as the start and finish line for the adult race the following day, offering convenience for families attending both competitions.
In addition to the race course, the organizing committee has arranged five experience zones: basketball, pickleball, football, KUN Farm, and Multi-Sport. These zones will be open throughout the event, allowing children to play both before and after their run. Here, Kun Runners can participate in Kunlympic challenges, developing agility, dexterity, and sportsmanship.
Many beloved children's personalities will appear on stage, including artist Truong Giang, TikTokers Phong Can and Sheep, child TikToker Boi Boi, freestyle football athlete Trong Thy, and singer Candy Ngoc Ha. These guests will interact, perform, and cheer on the Kun Runners throughout the morning of the race.
The Kun Marathon is part of the larger Kunlympic campaign, "Exercise with Kun Every Day." Through Kunlympic, children engage in fun and creative physical activities across various sports, including marathon, football, basketball, pickleball, badminton, and jump rope. The program encourages children to actively participate in sports, improve physical fitness, and connect with others through shared enjoyment.
