Trung's family traveled from Ho Chi Minh City to Can Tho for his son to participate in the Kun Marathon. He said he has been a participant in the VnExpress Marathon system for the past three years, most recently at the Nha Trang race. Each time, he has kept an eye on the Kun Marathon, the children's event held the day before the main race.
"I've been eagerly waiting for my son to be old enough to participate. As soon as he met the age requirement, I signed him up immediately so he could have this experience," he said.
After his son completes the run on 14/9, Trung's entire family will participate in the VnExpress Marathon Can Tho 2024. Trung registered for the 42 km distance, while his wife and son will run the 5 km, as a way for the family to exercise and bond together at a professionally organized sporting event.

Hai Diem, who lives and works at a sports club in Can Tho, said he registered his daughter for the Kun Marathon as soon as he read about it in VnExpress.
His daughter eagerly awaited the day to receive her race-kit and running shirt with her name on it. They experienced a minor issue with a QR code during the collection process, but the organizers provided prompt assistance, ensuring a quick resolution.

In addition to the main activities, the event also featured exciting side activities such as Kun jelly slides, interactive mini-games, and physical play areas like the "Strong Race Track," "Super Kun Hands," and "Super Memory." Many children from the same sports teams participated in the games together. |
Gia Linh and Xuan Thanh, 5th graders at Mac Dinh Chi Primary School in Can Tho, shared that they asked their parents to take them to the race-kit distribution point right after school. Both were excited to receive their gear and prepare for the race.
"Besides Thanh and me, many of our dance team friends also registered. I'm so excited, I probably won't be able to sleep tonight, just waiting for tomorrow morning to run," said Gia Linh.
