Children explore diverse species at Kun Marathon Hue 2026

The race, taking place on april 18 at Ngo Mon Square, will combine educational activities on animal protection for 2,500 children aged 6-10.

Following a successful debut in TP HCM in March, Kun Marathon organizers announced they will continue the "Kun protects all species" message in Hue. This weekend's event will retain the 1 km running format, adding a series of educational and environmental discovery activities for children after they receive their medals.

After completing the run, children will enter an experience zone featuring interactive activities. Under the theme "Kun warriors protect all species", children will learn about diverse animal species and their environments through visual formats.

In the interactive area, children will be guided to learn about the habits, habitats, and care of various species. They will observe, ask questions, and record information, fostering an awareness of nature conservation.

Simultaneously, a game zone will offer ecosystem simulation challenges, including: "baby feeds animals", "blue ocean mission", "brave knight brings eggs home", and "bring all species home". These activities focus on animal care skills, water environment protection, and habitat identification.

Organizers stated that the games are designed to be short, with direct instructions, and are age-appropriate. All activity zones will have staff to coordinate, ensure safety, and manage participant numbers.

This year, the event introduces animal cosplay. Young runners can dress as various animals, check in at the event area, and share photos on social media to receive gifts from the organizers.

Additionally, content exploring the Bach Ma National Park ecosystem is integrated into the program. Children will be introduced to representative species such as the Truong Son muntjac, gray-shanked douc, and yellow-headed box turtle. Information on their characteristics, habits, and habitats will be provided. The content is designed as interactive questions, allowing children to learn through a game format.

Artist Truong Giang will continue his partnership with Kun Marathon Hue 2026 for the fourth consecutive time. Other celebrities familiar to young audiences will also join, engaging with and guiding children in the experience zones. These artists will interact directly with young runners, encouraging them to participate in games to spread the message of animal protection.

Organizers anticipate these activities will help children readily absorb information and maintain interest throughout the event. The expansion to 2,500 child participants aims to meet growing demand. Registration is conducted online, with a limited number of slots available.
