Nha Trang adorned with flags for National Day and VnExpress Marathon

A week before National Day (2/9), many streets in Nha Trang are decorated with national flags and banners, welcoming over 13,000 runners to the VnExpress Marathon 2025.

The median strip of Tran Phu Street is brightly decorated with national and Party flags, and banners celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day.

Most prominent on the coastal road is the Khanh Hoa Provincial Conference Center at 46 Tran Phu (now the temporary headquarters of the People's Committee), decorated with national flags, creating a festive atmosphere and attracting the attention of many residents and tourists.

With runners arriving from all over for the VnExpress Marathon Libera Nha Trang, the atmosphere is even more vibrant.

Opposite the provincial conference center is 2/4 Square, highlighted by the national flagpole. This is the venue for many important events and weekly flag-raising ceremonies, promoting and educating people about the nation's traditions.

The square is also the starting point for the VnExpress Marathon Libera Nha Trang 2025 on the morning of 24/8.

The welcome gate near Tram Huong Tower is decorated with national flags prominently displayed on banners, flowers, and swiftlets.

National flags fly on Tran Phu Bridge, a busy area on Nha Trang's coastal road and part of the VnExpress Marathon route.

A cafe on Tran Phu Street is vibrantly decorated with national flags. The owner has displayed flags of all sizes throughout the cafe, welcoming customers to take photos.

A shopping center is densely decorated with red and yellow starred flags at the entrance, highlighted by a large flag at the main entrance. Quang Huy, a runner from Lam Dong, feels the National Day spirit "filling" Nha Trang. "Combining tourism with running near National Day gives me a very positive and exciting feeling. I will run with my family, eat local specialties, and enjoy many art programs during this holiday," Huy said.

The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism said that during this National Day holiday, there will be many major activities in the province, such as the groundbreaking ceremony for 4 key projects; an art program combined with low-altitude fireworks; and businesses organizing sports activities such as the Southeast Asian Taekwondo Championship, the VnExpress Marathon Libera Nha Trang 2025, and a digital technology festival.

In response to the National Day and to welcome runners from everywhere to the VnExpress Marathon, the Nha Trang Runners club also organized a special warm-up before the race. Nearly 100 members, dressed in national flag attire, ran a portion of the route on the morning of 24/8.

"We want to introduce to fellow runners everywhere a dynamic and healthy image of Nha Trang, filled with pride as we approach the nation's major holiday," said Nguyen Dinh Som, a member of the club's management board.
