2/4 Square in Nha Trang was filled with parents and children on the morning of 22/8, all eager to collect their race kits for the 2025 Kun Marathon. Although distribution officially began at 8 a.m., many arrived early to secure their place in line, creating a lively atmosphere. Organizers used a QR code system for confirmation, distributing shirts, hats, and Kun milk to each participant. Runners were also grouped by age with color-coded bibs for easy identification.

Among those waiting, Nguyen Van Tam, a parent of two children in grades 1 and 4, said he waited for hours to get one of the last 250 available spots. "I couldn't register online, so I had to come early to secure a place. It took time, but it's worth it because it provides a healthy and fun activity for the children," he said. Many other parents shared similar stories of their efforts to secure a bib for the event.
Nguyen Thi Loan from Quy Nhon brought her daughter and two of her friend's children to Nha Trang for the race. This is their 5th time participating in the Kun Marathon, so she is no stranger to the anticipation of registration. "Once, I didn't win the mini-game and had to watch the clock, waiting for registration to open. My hands were shaking because I was afraid to miss out, but seeing the children's joy when they got their bibs made all the effort worthwhile," she recounted. For Loan, the race is not just a sporting event but also a chance for family bonding.

The excitement wasn't limited to the parents. Tran Phuc Khang, a 5th grader, said this is his last year eligible for the Kun Marathon. "I want to run a lot to earn more medals. When I grow up, I will aim for medals in marathons," he shared. Tue Man excitedly recalled the memory of child actress Bao Ngoc holding her hand as they crossed the finish line: "I was overjoyed and it made me want to participate in more races."
After receiving their race kits, many parents and children enjoyed activities at the square, from the Kun rock climbing wall to the inflatable play area. The energetic atmosphere transformed the race kit distribution into a festive event, promoting physical activity for children and providing a shared experience for families. Many parents mentioned that they, too, have been inspired to exercise, some even registering for shorter distances in VnExpress Marathons to set an example for their children.

Thao Van, whose son is participating for the third year, said the family considers the Kun Marathon an annual event. "My son has been eating well and training seriously all month to prepare. I'm happy that he's gaining valuable experience and making lasting memories," she said. For many parents, running and training with their children has become a way to bond and instill healthy habits from a young age.
The 2025 Kun Marathon Nha Trang will take place on the morning of 23/8 at 2/4 Square, bringing together over 2,000 Kun runners aged 6 to 10. The children will tackle a nearly 1 km course with obstacles like inflatable houses, supported by volunteers and medical staff. Entertainer Truong Giang and several popular social media personalities will also be present, making the event a sporting celebration for the whole family.
This event is part of a series of children's races held in Hanoi, TP HCM, Hue, Ha Long, Da Nang, and Hai Phong, with the participation of thousands of children and numerous entertainers.
