In reality, when England secured their 2-1 victory, Victoria did stand up and applaud. After the match, she also posted a photo with her husband on her personal social media.

The former Spice Girls member has often admitted she is not a football enthusiast. In a 2024 interview with the Financial Times, she shared that she used to dislike attending matches because she felt unwelcome. This perspective only shifted after David Beckham retired and became a co-owner of Inter Miami. She now feels more comfortable watching football in the USA and has befriended the families of other players.

The match was notably without eldest son Brooklyn Beckham (27). He and his wife, Nicola Peltz, remained in New York, watching the game on television.
