On the evening of 12/7, David and Victoria Beckham, along with their three children Romeo (23), Cruz (21), and Harper (15), were in the stands at a stadium in Miami to support England against Norway.
When Jude Bellingham scored in first-half stoppage time, David and his three children immediately stood up and cheered. In contrast, Victoria Beckham remained seated. This moment of contrast quickly spread across social media, becoming a popular subject for fan memes.

Responding to audience comments, David Beckham stated, "I promise she's celebrating inside. Her reaction is just a little slower than mine." In reality, when England secured their 2-1 victory, Victoria did stand up and applaud. After the match, she also posted a photo with her husband on her personal social media.
The former Spice Girls member has often admitted she is not a football enthusiast. In a 2024 interview with the Financial Times, she shared that she used to dislike attending matches because she felt unwelcome. This perspective only shifted after David Beckham retired and became a co-owner of Inter Miami. She now feels more comfortable watching football in the USA and has befriended the families of other players.
The match was notably without eldest son Brooklyn Beckham (27). He and his wife, Nicola Peltz, remained in New York, watching the game on television. Public speculation suggests Brooklyn has a strained relationship and has ceased communication with his parents. Despite this, David Beckham still posted a photo with his wife and children on his personal page, stating his pride in England reaching the semi-finals.
