In early May, He Yinsheng and his wife set up a wrestling ring at the center of their wedding celebration, complete with a poster proclaiming "Groom vs. Bride".
Both the groom and bride led their respective teams in a three-round match. Under the rules, the losing team would be responsible for all household chores after marriage. Videos from the event captured wrestlers performing powerful slams and grappling moves.
These were, in fact, exhibition matches, commonly known as pro wrestling, performed according to a pre-arranged script.
The ceremony's climax arrived when the newlyweds faced each other directly. The bride quickly gained the upper hand, evading attacks and taking down her husband with a decisive shoulder throw. The referee promptly declared the bride the winner.

Mr. He revealed the concept emerged when their wedding budget exceeded initial projections. Rather than hiring dancers or singers, he utilized his background as a professional wrestler to manage costs. "Ultimately, I had to lose. I couldn't let my wife do the housework," Mr. He commented. He also assured that all participating wrestlers were professionals, guaranteeing the event's safety.
Both families initially expressed confusion about the idea but later respected the couple's unique choice. The event successfully drew nearly 300 guests.
Through this distinctive wedding, Mr. He also expressed hope of promoting professional wrestling more widely across China.
