5-seater car crushed in multi-vehicle pile-up, three injured

A 5-seater car carrying three people was crushed under a cargo truck after being struck by a container truck in a multi-vehicle pile-up on the Ky Anh bypass section of National Highway 1 on 12/1.

After 9 a.m. on the Ky Anh bypass, near Vung Ang ward, a container truck from Bac Ninh traveling southbound collided with a 5-seater car from Ha Tinh. The forceful impact propelled the 5-seater car beneath the rear of a cargo truck from Ha Noi, which was traveling ahead.

The cargo truck, unable to react, subsequently struck the rear of a passenger bus from Hung Yen, resulting in a four-vehicle pile-up.

The 5-seater car was severely trapped beneath the cargo truck. Rescue teams extricated three occupants who sustained serious injuries, transporting them for emergency medical care. Passengers in the other three vehicles were unharmed.

At the scene, the 5-seater car was found crumpled and lodged under the rear of the container truck. The other vehicles suffered significant damage to their front and rear sections. Oil spilled onto the road, creating long streaks. Traffic in the area became heavily congested and difficult to navigate.

The Ha Tinh Provincial Police Traffic Department dispatched officers to manage traffic flow and arrange tow trucks to remove the damaged vehicles. After 11 a.m., the accident scene remained uncleared.
